Description

Adient, the American supplier of automotive seats, is to close its Slovenian factory in Slovenj Grades; as a result, 430 employees will lose their job.

The company said that low expectations in the automotive industry and the deteriorating comparative costs (increased minimum wage) contributed to this decision.

The production will stop working until the end of 2021 and will be completely closed until May 2022.

Adient is a global supplier in the automotive industry with branches in 32 countries. Adient’s another site in Novo Mesto with 295 employees, the supplier to local Renault factory Revoz, remains in operation.
