Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
FM Logistic, a French company providing warehousing, packaging, transport and supply chain management services, has announced 140 job creations, with permanent contracts, at its Escrennes (Loiret) site in 2021. FM Logistic, which was already working with big names in the cosmetics industry, Dior, Sephora, Cartier, is building an extension to its site for storage and preparation for a new client: Shiseido, for its make-up, perfume and skincare products. The management is working within the framework of a DEFI agreement (Development of employment through inclusive training) with the Centre-Val de Loire Region to recruit the new employees. Between February and June, there are still 140 people to be recruited. The group employs nearly 25,000 people and is present in 14 countries.
Four previous announcements at this plant took placein 2016 with 675 job cretations, in 2009 with 483 job cuts, in 2008 with 140 job cuts and in 2006 with job creations.
