European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Home decor and gardening retail company Leroy Merlin announced plans to create about 200 jobs at its new store in Łódź in 2021. The recruitment process will be initiated soon. The chain has just purchased a site previously occupied by Tesco; the unit, with an area of over 31,00 square metres, will be the third store of the chain in the city.
The company has been operating in the country since 1994, it runs over 60 stores employing over 10,000 people.
Previous business expansions were announced in February 2021 (160 jobs created), January 2021 (102 jobs created), February 2020 (150 jobs created), and in August 2020 (130 jobs created).
