Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
US-based multinational technology company Garmin (formerly known as ProNav) has announced that it will create up to 500 jobs at its new manufacturing and distribution facility in Biskupice Podgórne near Wrocław.
Garmin is currently looking for process engineers, technicians and assemblers. The new facility, consisting of nearly 30,000 square meters, is dedicated to the production and supply of infotainment systems as well as other automotive electronics for customers throughout Europe. Prototypes are already being manufactured at the new facility and production and distribution of consumer products will begin soon. Delivery of the first automotive OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products is planned for 2022.
Garmin was founded in 1989 in the United States. The company specialises in GPS technology for automotive, aviation, marine, outdoor and sport activities.
