Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The UK subsidiary of Assystem, the France-based global engineering group, has announced that it will create 100 jobs in the UK, with the recruitment starting in 2021. The new jobs are reserved for women graduating with degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
The managing director said that the company plans to recruit women as part of its gender diversity programme.
In the UK, Assystem provides project management, design and digital engineering services in the energy and infrastructure sectors. The company has head offices in Blackburn, Bristol, Sunderland and London, and employs 550 people.
