Description
As announced on 15 February 2021, the German shipbuilding company German Naval Yards (GNY) will be cutting 134 jobs at its plant in Kiel due to internal restructuring until the end of 2021. According to the company the job reduction is inevitable due to the economic hardship caused by the COVID-19 crisis. The works’ council has agreed to a social plan which includes severance payments, early-retirement programmes and the set-up of a transfer company.
GNY has currently 500 employees at its plant in Kiel.
