Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Japanese glass producer Pilkington IGP has announced that it will create about 100 new jobs at its production facility in Ostrołęka.
The company is expanding the factory which allows to double the workforce and increase production capacity. The investment includes the expansion of production hall as well as office and social space within the factory. In total, the unit is expected to consist of almost 10,000 square meters. The recruitment process has already started; currently, the company is looking for machine operators, quality controllers, maintenance staff, customer service staff, shipping staff and production preparation employees.
Pilkington IGP belongs to NSG Group, which has been operating in Poland since 1993. The company has production facilities in Kraków, Skierniewice, Białystok, Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Ostrołęka and Szczecin. The company is specialised in the production of toughened glass, enamelled glass and screen-printed glass.
