Lithuanian convenience store chain Stokrotka has announced that it plans to create about 600 new jobs across Poland in 2021.
The company announced that it intends to maintain a similar pace of its development in 2021 as in 2020. Especially, Stokrotka is to strengthen its e-commerce division and home deliveries; the company notes that the move is related to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the retail sector. The company also plans to open about 100 new stationary stores. In 2020, the chain opened 93 new stores and created 600 new jobs.
Stokrotka was founded in 1994 and it is part of Emperia Holding Group. In 2018, the chain was acquired by Maxima Grupe. The chain has about 600 stores and 9 logistic centres across the country. Currently, Stokrotka employs nearly 11,000 people in Poland.
