Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish e-commerce platform Allegro announced that it will create 950 new jobs at its units in Poland by the end of 2021.
The company will move into a new office space in the city of Poznań; Allegro’s headquarter is to occupy ten floors with a total space of 24,600 square meters, with the possibility of further expansion to 29,700 square meters. Following the expansions of its activities, the company is also working on AI, supply and platform improvement.
Allegro was founded in 1999. Currently, the company employs over 2,500 people across five locations: Poznań, Kraków, Toruń, Warsaw and Wrocław. Previous business expansion was announced in November 2020 (200 jobs created).
