Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Soitec, the world's leading producer of semiconductor materials, notably silicon-on-insulator wafers for high-performance integrated circuits, has announced the recruitment of 260 people in 2021, including 100 employees in France (the other 160 are planned for its Singapore subsidiary). The group is seeking 'young talents'; boosted by the arrival of 5G, Soitec is continuing to grow and is launching a job creation programme called Elevate. It will begin by recruiting around 100 people in engineering, technology, operations and management for its headquarters in Bernin (Isère).
