Description

The Royal Garden Hotel, located in central London, has announced that more than 250 jobs will be made redundant, as the hotel, which is currently closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, will not reopen until January 2022 at the earliest.

The general manager of the hotel said the hospitality industry was facing ‘an extremely difficult time’ due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The Royal Garden hotel is the largest independently owned five-star hotel in London. It opened in 1965 and it was refurbished for the 2012 London Olympics. The hotel’s famous Min Jiang restaurant will remain open during the closure.
