Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Centre-Val de Loire Region has announced the recruitment of 150 doctors between now and 2025, as part of a structure - a Public Interest Grouping (GIP) - responsible for recruiting salaried doctors who will be assigned to health centres in various towns in the region. The aim is to combat 'medical deserts' in rural areas. The salaries of the doctors hired by the GIP will range from €5,000 to €8,950 gross, depending on seniority (which corresponds to the scale for the hospital civil service); the GIP will pocket the cost of the consultations (€25 according to the Social Security's agreed rates), which will eventually make it possible to achieve financial equilibrium. The installation of the first doctors is scheduled for the beginning of 2021, and the contracts for the communes of Jargeau and Beauce-la-Romaine will be signed before the 2020.
