Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French construction group NGE has announced a regional recruitment campaign, with 100 new jobs announced in the Hauts-de-France region and 100 others created in Brittany and Pays-de-Loire, of which around ten immediately. Recruitments are scheduled to take place between now and 2024. The company is involved in several activities: earthworks, pipelines and networks, civil engineering, roads and road equipment, geotechnical and safety works and railway works.
The NGE Group has 13,000 employees and a turnover of €2.5 billion. Its workforce has increased by 57% over the last four years. NGE announced in November 2019 that it would be recruiting 10,000 people by 2024, without further details.
