Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US company Devbridge LT, specialised in software development, intends to create at least 200 new jobs in Vilnius by the end of 2025.
According to the management, Devbridge LT is growing on average by 30% annually, and since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic demand for digitised solutions has increased. Currently the company employs 417 employees and plans to move to a new office in 2022.
Devbridge is the US software developer creating innovative custom digital products for their clients in the financial services, manufacturing, and technology sectors. Headquartered in Chicago, the company employs more than 500 employees at five global offices in four countries. It has branches in Chicago, Toronto, Kaunas, Vilnius, Klaipėda and London. Devbridge LT has been operating in Lithuania since 2011, when it established its first office in Kaunas.
