Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Romanian home supply and last mile service company, Urban Logistic, plans to hire 100 scooter drivers to meet increased customer demand and to support its current partners. In 2019, the company increased its team from 27 to 68 employees.
For 2021, the company expects to see an increase in sales and turnover by up to 350%, which will require a further expansion of its team of drivers by an additional 250 new employees. The Urban Logistic delivery service was established in early 2019. Currently, the company has a fleet of more than 95 scooters and more than 60 drivers who fulfil up to 500 orders a day.
Urban Logistic is part of the XL Group which includes several brands and service packages all dedicated to last mile transportation in various cities across Europe.
