Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Danfoss, the Danish manufacturer of heating, air conditioning and cooling systems, announced that it will create about 400 jobs at its new production facility in Grodzisk Mazowiecki by the end of 2021. The factory is expected to be launched in May-June 2021. The unit, with a surface of 13,900 square metres is to provide space for the production activities that Danfoss will relocate from Kolding, Denmark (the restructuring event was announced in January 2020 with the loss of 335 jobs).
Danfoss was founded in 1933 in Denmark. It provides goods and services in over 100 countries and employs about 25,000 people worldwide. In Poland, the company employs 1,700 people at its production facilities in six locations: Bielany Wrocławskie, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Koleczkowo, Tuchom, Wrocław, Żelazkowo.
