Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Naval Group has announced the recruitment of 100 people on the Nantes and Indret sites, which employ 1,550 people. Hiring will take place in 2021. Naval Group specialises in the design and construction of armed ships, combat systems and port infrastructure. In total, the European leader in naval defence (15,000 employees, €3.7 billion turnover) plans to hire 4,000 people over the next 5 years at its French sites (but there is no information about the net job creations taking into account departures in retirement). Naval Group has ten sites in France and is present in 18 countries around the world.
Announcements of jobs creation were took place in March 2020 (400 job creations), March 2019 (100 job creations) , in January 2019 (200 job creations in Brest), in March 2018 (200 job creations), in October 2017 (100 job creations), in February 2017 (100 job creations), in 2012 (700 job creations) and in 2011 (100 job creations) . A restructuring took place in 2011 (150 job losses).
