The Hut Group (THG), the British e-commerce company has announced that it will create 500 jobs in the North West region of England by the end of 2020. Most of the new jobs are in THG’s technology services division.
THG’s chief executive officer said that the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic had created 'unprecedented opportunity' for the company, because businesses were increasingly focusing on selling their products directly to customers.
The Hut Group owns a number of beauty and wellness brands and provides e-commerce services to owners of other consumer brands, including Nestlé, Honda and Disney. The company has operations in Europe, North America and in the Asia Pacific, and employs over 8,000 people globally.
