Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Austrian supplier of extruded aluminium products, Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI), announced the creation of 60 new jobs at its Chișineu-Criș (Arad County) plant by the end of April 2021. The company expanded with the construction of a new production hall, two aluminium profiles extrusion lines and additional packaging, logistics and manufacturing zones. The new facilities are financed through an investment of € 8.5 million. The company has a second plant at Santana (Arad County).
Currently, the company has a workforce of 200 at Chișineu-Criș (Arad County) plant.
Hammerer Aluminium Industries employs 1,600 people. Founded in 2007, the company its headquarters are located in the Upper Austrian town of Ranshofen. The company currently has seven other plants in Germany, Poland and Romania.
