Description
Alliander, a Dutch operator of electricity transmission grids, announced 200 dismissals. The job cuts will only affect management positions. The transition to renewable energy requires an expansion of the capacity of the transmission grid. Alliander wants to cut the costs of management to be able to make the required investments. Technical staff will not be affected by the reorganisation, as they are vital for the execution of the expansion plans.
Alliander is responsible for the energy transmission grids in the Dutch provinces Noord-Holland, Flevoland, Gelderland and Friesland.
