Description
PGL Travel, the British travel agency that organises school trips, summer camps and adventure holidays for school groups has announced that it will cut 670 jobs, a quarter of its workforce, at its activity centres across the UK and its offices in Blackpool, Ross-on-Wye and Hertfordshire.
A statement by the company said the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on its business, because it had closed its residential centres when restrictions on travel were introduced and schools were closed.
PGL Travel owns residential centres in the UK and France and employs over 3,000 people.
