Description
Easons, an Irish-owned books retailer, is to cut 150 jobs and put some staff on a four-day week from June 1st 2020. The company is attempting to reduce its costs by 30% in response to the reduction in revenue due to the closure of the shops during the Covid-19 lockdown. The move to online sales now amounts to 80% of the company's revenue but according to the mangement this is not enough to sustain company's costs such as premises rental costs.
