Description
Polish pharmaceutical company Polpharma announced that it will cut about 250 jobs throughout a collective dismissal programme at its units across Poland by the end of 2020. The restructuring programme will affect mainly office staff, and the conditions of the programme will be negotiated with the employees’ representatives. The job cuts are related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Polpharma was founded as a state-owned company in 1935; it was privatized in 2000. Currently, Polpharma is a leading company on the Polish pharmaceutical market and one of the major drug manufacturers in the region of CEE, Central Asia and the Caucasus. The company employs 4,500 people at five production facilities across Poland.
