Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
ScS (Sofa Carpet Specialist), the British home furnishings retailer, has announced that it is creating 150 new jobs across the UK in response to growing demand for its products. The newly created jobs include sales, delivery drivers, and contact centres and online sales roles. The recruitment campaign has already started. The company has also announced that it had created 150 jobs in August.
The chief executive said the company was happy to recruit new staff members, as it continued to 'navigate their way through these unprecedented times'.
ScS is a family owned business that was founded in 1894. The company has over 100 stores across the UK and it employs more than 1,500 people.
