Description
International IT company CGI has concluded co-operation negotiations and will dismiss 118 employees in Finland. Before negotiations the company planned to dismiss 180 employees.
According to a company press release, restructuring is needed because of the COVID-19 crisis. The company argues that the previous temporary lay-offs were not enough to balance out the impact of the COVID-19 crisis and that permanent changes are needed in some areas. The company will provide support to the dismissed employees in finding new jobs.
CGI Finland employs 3,700 workers in 18 different locations across the country. CGI is one of the largest IT and business consulting services firms globally.
