Lendlease Construction, the Australia-based global construction company has announced plans to cut 240 jobs, 15% of its UK workforce.
A spokesperson for the company said the aim of the restructure was to make the organisation 'leaner' and prepare it for 'the challenges ahead' as well as for the difficult current economic conditions.
Lendlease is currently working on a number of high-profile projects in the UK, including the building of the Google headquarters in central London and the refurbishment of Manchester Town Hall.
