Description
As announced on 16 September 2020, the German meal delivery firm Delivery Hero will be creating 1,000 new jobs at its headquarters in Berlin by the end of next year. Delivery Hero was founded in 2011 in Berlin and is offering its services in more than 40 countries with more than 40,000 employees. According to CEO Östberg, the perspective that Delivery Hero only profited from the COVID-19 crisis because suddenly all people were ordering food is wrong. In some of Delivery Hero markets lockdowns caused restaurants to close, preventing Delivery Hero from delivering food. While Delivery Hero intends to expand to services to delivering books, medicines, electronics and much more it is unclear which tasks new employees will have.
Currently Delivery Hero has 2,000 employees in Berlin
