Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
France-based manufacturer of luxury yachts, Sunreef Yachts, has announced that it will create over 200 new jobs at its shipyard in Gdańsk in the near future. The company is looking for production staff and specialists, especially carpenters, laminators, upholsterers, electricians, technologists, plumbers and mechanics. Also, staff for design office will be recruited soon. The source also reports that the company is to increase its overall production capacity with the construction of a new, purpose-built facility in Gdańsk (the unit is expected to be launched in April 2021). Recently, the company also launched the production of enviromentally sustainable catamarans.The source also reports the COVID pandemic has not affected the company and working conditions of employees, including salaries.
Sunreef Yachts is the world leader in the design and construction of large, custom-made luxury catamarans. The company has been operating in Poland since 2002 and currently employs over 1,000 staff.
