Description

Multinational technology company Google plans to hire between 40 and 50 employees with well-developed digital skills at its new data centre in Hamina, southern Finland. At the moment Google employs approximately 350 people in Hamina and wants to bring their number up to 400. The centre will be sixth for the company in Finland and it will start operating in 2021.

Google established its first data centre in Hamina in 2011. The company has so far invested approximately €2 billion in the region. The establishment has also boosted demand for wind power in Finland as the complex is powered by renewable electricity from three new wind farms.
