Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
American fast food chain KFC plans to hire 400 employees to cover increased demand. 32 of these jobs are for delivery couriers in Bucharest. The company plans to hire an additional 83 employees in the new locations it plans to open by the end of 2020.
With a total workforce of 3,000 employees, KFC currently operates 83 restaurants in Romania across various locations (Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Suceava, Oradea, Targoviste, Sibiu, Constanta, Brasov, Pitesti and Brasov).
KFC entered the Romanian market in 1997 as a franchise operated by the Sphera Franchise Group.
Update, 27 July 2021:
On 24 June 2021, the company announced its commitment to continue implementing its expansion plans and hire 400 workers. Currently, the company has a workforce of 3,600 and operates 88 restaurants in Romania.
