Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Home decor and gardening retail company Leroy Merlin announced plans to create 130 customer service and warehouse jobs at its new store in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland. The unit, with an area of over 10,000 square metres, based in former Tesco building, is expected to be launched in the first half of 2021. The source reports the chain has already initiated a recruitment process. Leroy Merlin is looking for logistics coordinators, sales coordinators, designers, logistics specialists, warehouse staff and customer advisers.
The company has been operational in the country since 1994, it runs over 60 stores employing over 10,000 people. In February 2020, the company registered an event of job creation in the city of Radom, Poland (150 new jobs).
