Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The retailer Risparmio Casa announced a plan entailing the hiring of 400 workers and the expansion of its commercial network, through the opening of 14 new sales points and the restructuring of three. Each new store will approximately employ 30 staff.
The new sales points will be located in the Centre-North of the country, in partucular in Ferrara, Coriano (RN), Castelfranco Emilia (MO), Beinasco (TO), Castione Andevenno (SO), Albenga (SV), Ambivere (BG), Osnago (LC), Calenzano (FI), Alessandria, Firenze Novoli, Monterosi (VT) and Buccinasco (MI).
Currently the company employs around 2,000 workers in more than 100 sales points all over the country, and plans to reach 200 sales points by the end of 2025.
