Description

The windmill producer MHI Vestas is dismissing a total of 148 employees at three factories in Denmark. The factories are located in Nakskov, Lindø and Esbjerg. The dismissals are caused by delays in larger projects, which means that activity is lower than expected. MHI Vestas is owned by Vestas and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The turnover in MHI Vestas has dropped by 60% in the first six months of 2020. The company experienced a deficit of DKK 45 million (€6 million as at 23 August 2020) during this period. The company had a surplus of DKK 238 million (€32 million) for the same period in 2019.
