Description
The US-owned aerospace manufacturer Pratt & Whitney announced that it will cut 300 jobs at its production facility in Rzeszów, Poland. The company has revealed that the first stage of the programme will affect only production staff; the second stage will be announced in the near future and will affect non-production staff (detailed information on the number of jobs to cut in the second stage has been not provided). The programme is related to the COVID-19 pandemic and to 80% decline in demand for products and services in the aviation sector. Currently, the factory in Rzeszów employs about 4,500 employees.
