Arqiva, the British telecommunications infrastructure company, which owns television masts across the UK and charges fees to broadcasters for distributing their programmes over the airwaves, isĀ reported to be planning to makeĀ more than 500 jobs, a third of its workforce, redundant.
According to industry experts, the restructure is partly prompted by the decline of traditional television broadcasting due to the increased popularity of online streaming services, which has been accelerated by the coronavirus crisis.
