Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Producer of landing gear solutions Goodrich Aerospace Poland, a subsidiary of Collins Aerospace, announced that it will cut 226 jobs through a collective dismissal programme. The programme will be implemented at two company locations (Tajęcina and Krosno) by the end of September 2020.It is closing its foundry in Stalowa Wola and concentrating its production in Piotrków Trybunalski, which will result in the loss of 126 jobs. The company undertook this internal restructuring as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic; according to the company, measures included in the Anti-Crisis Shield (a package of laws aimed at supporting Polish companies amid the growing pandemic) will be insufficient to deal with the effects of the pandemic. Collins Aerospace is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the aerospace and defence industry.
Goodrich Aerospace Poland employs about 1,200 at its two sites.
UPDATE 25/09/2020:

The restructuring programme will affect mostly machine operators, chemical process operators, fitters, quality controllers, as well as support and administrative staff.
