Description
Amazon plans to create 1,000 new jobs in Ireland over the next two years.
The new jobs will be across a variety of engineering roles (software development, network development, systems development, optical deployment, database, Dev Ops, support, mechanical and electrical) as well as data centre technicians, solutions architects, security specialists, big data specialists, technical and non-technical programme managers and account managers.
The new jobs will be based at Amazon sites in Cork and Dublin. It will bring Amazon's total staff number in Ireland to 5,000.
Amazon is also planning to open a new 170,000 square foot campus in Charlemont Square, Dublin, by 2022.
