Description
Oerlikon, a Swiss manufacturing conglomerate, announced 100 job cuts out of the 260 jobs at its plant in Lomm, the Netherlands. The Dutch plant is specialised in manufacturing parts for the engines of airplanes and has been hit hard by the crisis in the aviation industry resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The reorganisation will most likely include forced dismissals. The Dutch company has been part of the Oerlikon group for five years. Earlier this year, Oerlikon already announced 800 job cuts in other parts of the company.
