Description
Triumph Motorcycles, the largest British motorcycle manufacturer, has announced that it is cutting 240 jobs in the UK as part of its global restructure.
The company’s chief executive officer said that the restructure was prompted by the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sales, adding that the job cuts were necessary to protect the business in the long term.
To manage the internal restructuring process, the company has started redundancy consultations with the affected staff.
Triumph Motorcycles was founded in 1902. It currently employs 2,500 people globally and operates in North America, Europe, Japan, Brazil, India, Thailand and China.
