Description
Okin BPS, a digital technology solutions provider, will lay off 505 employees in Ostrava due to the cancellation of a contract for IT outsourcing with US telecommunications company Verizon that decided to move services to Asia. Verizon is reportedly moving the outsourcing out of Europe entirely.The company's statutory director Michal Jelínek stated that 206 employees would terminate their employment on 31 August, and another 299 people would leave the company by the end of February 2021. The company currently employs around 1,200 people.Okin BPS is a provider of services for companies such as sales network support, creation of technical solutions and provision of technical support and multilingual customer support.
