Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Romanian hi-tech retailer Altex launched a business expansion plan entailing the creation of about 1,000 new jobs.
The workforce being hired will be employed in logistics centres and shops, included the commercial sites that will open in 2020 and 2021 in Chiajna, Lugoj, Deva, Reșița and Câmpina.
The company announced an overall investment of €27 million. The recruiting procedure has already started, and it includes positions as cashiers, sales consultants, service managers, online managers, district managers, financial managers, store managers, deputy store managers, pickers and goods handlers.
Altex is a leader in the local retail market of electronic, home appliances, IT&C and multimedia products. It has 125 stores and operates in the country since 1992.
