British logistics company Hermes UK has opened a new hub in Nottingham, in a move which will result in the creation of more than 100 new jobs.
The hub will enable Hermes to deal with the increase in online shopping and home delivery during the coronavirus lockdown, while also meeting Covid-19 health and safety measures. The new hub has significantly increased Hermes' capacity and its infrastructure. The new centre is now operational and the recruitment drive to fill the new positions has started.
Hermes UK provides a delivery and collection service for members of the public and SMEs via doorstep collection and its 'Hermes Parcel Shops' and also delivers packages on behalf of high street, catalogue and online retailers. The company works with a network of over 10,000 couriers.
