Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Saunier Duval, a subsidiary of the German group Vaillant, is continuing to grow and will be recruiting 100 operators, 40 temporary staff and 15 engineers and technicians between now and the beginning of August to support sales of its traditional equipment and especially heat pumps.
The company will recruit at the Nantes (Loire Atlantique) plant which is highly robotised and one of the Industry 4.0 factories of the 'Industry of the future' initiative. The factory is specialised in the design and manufacture of wall-mounted gas boilers, solar thermal panels and heat pumps.
The plant employs 570 employees and 150 temporary workers year-round, with a turnover of €200 million in 2019.
