Description
Ensival Moret Belgium, a producer of industrial pumps (mainly for the gas and petroleum industry) and part of the Swiss Sulzer has announced it will be dismissing 155 employees in its facilities across Belgium. According to the company management the current problems in the oil and gas industry has led the company to adapt and reduce costs. More specifically, the company will reform its activities in Belgium to become a more R&D focused technological centre. As a result, almost all blue collar workers in the current production line will be dismissed. The company management is currently negotiating with the different local trade unions regarding the impact and extent of the dismissals.
