Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Romanian subsidiary of the Italian manufacturer of home electric appliances De’Longhi Romania announced it would create 500 new jobs at its new Madaras plant, near Bihor, by the end of 2020. The management of the Italian group remains discreet about this second investment in Romania, where it intends to repatriate its production from China.
Currently, De'Longhi employs 2,170 workers in Romania.
The Italian company entered the Romanian market in 2012. In 2013, it started producing espresso machines at the Jucu plant.
