Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Polish producer of automotive components Spinko announced that it will cut 200 positions throughout a collective dismissal programme at its production facility in Leszno. The programme is related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was registered by the company at the local employment agency in Leszno.
Spinko has been operating since 1950; the company produces pressure castings in aluminium alloys and precise machining of aluminium and cast iron castings for the automotive industry. Spinko has two factories in Poland: Leszno and Zielona Góra. Currently, the company employs 700 people at the Leszno factory.
