Description

The airline CityJet has announced it will cut 726 positions from a total of 1,175 employees (about 60% of its workforce). The company, which operates on behalf of other airlines including SAS and Aer Lingus, employs 1,175 people across the group, of which more than 410 are based in Dublin. CityJet has launched a consultation process with its employees in Ireland and Great Britain, anticipating that up to 276 employees would be made redundant from its bases in Dublin (Ireland) and London (UK). 450 job cuts are expected across its bases in Estonia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, France (where its French branch is in liquidation, resulting in 82 job cuts) and Brussels. Job cuts are expected to affect the airline’s administration, flying and engineering support staff.
