Description
Nova ljubljanska banka (NLB), the largest Slovenian bank, will lay off 300 jobs by the end of the year 2020. Currently, the bank employs 2,659 persons in Slovenia, the whole group 5,878. The bank adopted several austerity measures. Salaries of the board of directors are 15 per cent lower and those of other managers 10 per cent. The bank also ceased payments of bonuses and announced the closing of 10 local bank offices by the end of May. The bank has not yet presented the restructuring plan to the trade union.
