The Austrian-owned producer of automotive lighting systems, ZKW Slovakia, based in Krusovce, lays off 148 workers out of total 2,150 employees, due to the coronavirus epidemic. ZKW management stated that none of the measures provided by the Slovak government allows the company to retain all employees by paying them 60% of their wages. The company reported a potential dismissal of 450 employees to the employment office.
