United Bakeries, a manufacturer of bakery products, has announced the closure of its Delta bakery in the city of Brno in late September 2020, affecting up to 160 people. Redundant workers will be offered employment either in the new bakery in a nearby town of Rosice or at other companies of the Agrofert Group. Alternatively, employees will be provided with job search assistance. According to the company's spokesman, the reason for the closure of the bakery is obsolete production technology, which is on the verge of life.
The area of the Delta bakery will be offered for sale.
